Upcoming events and 2018 excitement

Hi members!  We at the TimeBank are excited about 2018!  Thank you to everyone who has participated in our member survey.  We hear you!  We're in the process of taking all of your thoughts and feedback and using them to direct our strategic planning process.  We are committed to focusing on improving member experience in 2018 and we will use your input to grow and improve.

We've had a couple new staff join us.  Jaime Benton is joining us as Associate Director and brings years of restorative justice and systems design experience with her.  We're pumped to have her on board.  We also have longtime timebank member, Jon Hain, joining us as a Technology Coordinator.  He will work with us to improve our website and technology features to improve the experience our members have when engaging with the website.  We're thrilled to focus on this area of improvement for 2018.  Stay tuned for new web features, including a timebank app!

We have a couple upcoming events including our Annual Meeting and Board Election, which will be held on January 27th, from 12-2 at the South Madison Public Library.  2222 South Park St.  We will highlight activities and successes from 2017 and share our goals and excitement about things to come in 2018.  We will also elect our board of directors, so if you're interested in taking on a leadership role, please consider joining our board or one of our work teams.  For more information contact info@danecountytimebank.org.

Comedy Games!  Join us for snacks and comedy games, led by professional Comedy Improv team Terri and Scotty Rorek - formerly of Theatresports in Oshkosh.  Open to all!  No experience required, just a willingness to be silly and laugh.  Tuesday, January 30th from 6-8:30pm at Sunshine Place Supper Space.  1632 W. Main St, Sun Prairie.  This will be a fun time for all.  Please join us.

Thanks to all of you for being part of the timebank community.  Neighbors helping neighbors is a powerful way to support each other.  We need you and we value you.  Here's to a wonderful 2018.  We're looking forward to leveling up in a variety of ways!  You can look forward to regular communications, monthly events, improved technology features, and lots of ways to plug in to help support each other and the work we're doing to support our communities.  Whether it's through helping a member shovel their sidewalk, driving someone to a medical appointment, helping to plan a fun event, or promoting restorative justice, we're in this together and every exchange sends ripples of support through our community.  We're stronger together.

Thanks and see you soon,

Lorrie Hurckes Dwyer, Director and member
