Hello Timebankers! It’s cold outside, but things are heating up at the TimeBank. We’ve got tons of exciting things going on!
Thanks to everyone who attended our annual meeting and board elections! Our 2018 board members include: Mary Girard, Amanda McKaig, Garrett Lee, Jeanie Verschay, Greg Rossetti, Geraldine Clemons, Mike Godbe, Lisa Dugdale, Anita Pradhan, Sandy Nelson, and Barb Kehrein. A big warm welcome to Barb and a huge shout out to Ron Chance, who served on the Dane County TimeBank board for 13 years. He has resigned from the board but promises to still be around to help and support. Many thanks for your dedication and commitment, Ron.
In other news:
The TimeBank has an app and we need testers! In an effort to make timebanking more accessible to people we have created an app. Big thanks to TimeBank member, Andrew Trusty, for his work in developing the app. It’s brand new and we are excited to try it out and get your feedback. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in trying it out.
The TimeBank is looking for members to join some new member teams, including an events team, a transportation team, and a restorative justice team. If you’re interested in helping the TimeBank in these areas, please reach out and contact us at email@example.com.
The TimeBank continues to develop our relationship and support of Mutual Aid Networks and we are now a founding member of the Madison Mutual Aid Network. Exciting projects are forming now around resource sharing, co-working, developing community savings pools, mesh wireless networks, restorative justice, redesigning the Social Justice Center, and much more.
