Hi TimeBankers.  As many of you know there has been significant flooding in the area and people are in need of assistance now and likely in the coming weeks.  If you have time to spare, below are some resources and ways that you can help. We are happy to offer timebank hours to anyone assisting with flood relief efforts.  The Dane County TimeBank account can be used as the “payer”.

In addition, the TimeBank is need of drivers to help get people to their medical appointments.  If you can help provide a ride, please reach out to Naomi, our transportation coordinator, at naomi@danecountytimebank.org.

In these challenging times we need to come together to help each other.  We need each other. Stay safe and lend a hand if you can.

Some links and resources are below.

Dane County has launched a website to post updates and resources.

Show up at sandbag sites and help folks prepare bags and load into their vehicles. If you have friends on the Yahara, they might need a hand as well:

Monona: Volunteers are needed and encouraged to come to any of the above four locations and help to bag sand. Volunteers should bring shovels and gloves if possible.  http://www.mymonona.com/AlertCenter.aspx?AID=266
