Hello TimeBankers! 

First off, to all of our members in Sun Prairie effected by the explosion and the loss of a community member – we’re thinking of you and we’re here to help.  Please reach out to our members if there is anything we can do to provide support as Sun Prairie begins to heal and rebuild.  We have several members talking about ways people can connect through the TimeBank to support Sun Prairie residents.  Remember you can sort by city/area on offers and requests, so if you’re looking to provide support to members in Sun Prairie -  go to requests then click on Sun Prairie under filter by city/area to narrow the list.  When things are tough we need each other the most.  Make a match today.

And other important stuff to do with the Madison MAN Cooperative

Hopefully you already know about the Madison Mutual Aid Network, of which the Dane County TimeBank is a founding member.  Stephanie Rearick, TimeBank Founder and member, is heading up the crew at the Madison Mutual Aid Network to “MAN Up” the Social Justice Center (1202 Williamson St) by creating co-working space, shared equipment and administration for participating organizations and individuals, and a Really Free Market (like an ongoing swap, or library of things). And more! It all depends on how many people participate and what they want to contribute and create.  As a member of the mutual aid network and as a tenant of the Social Justice Center, this creates an awesomely exciting opportunity for the TimeBank.  We’re pumped for things to move forward.

We'll kick off the building renovation fundraising with a super fun Open House event this Friday July 20, 6-10pm at the Social Justice Center. With local food and drinks, good music, fun activities like button-making, games and visioning exercises, and more. Bring the kids! We'll have a low-key childcare room going also.

Please come, and share the invitation widely.

Also, who wants to help out? We'll need folks to help staff our Madison MAN future coworking space, chatting and signing people up, joining in our learning games, and more. You don't have to have prior knowledge of how to do anything in particular, just come and help out. Reply to this email to let me know.

Batter Up!

The TimeBank is going to a Mallards Game!  On July 31st TimeBank members & friends are invited to sit together and enjoy a Mallards Game at the Duck Pond.  We are among a few organizations in the Nonprofit Spotlight that evening which allows us to raise money before the game and during the intermission selling raffle tickets.  Come watch TimeBank Director, Lorrie Hurckes Dwyer, throw out the first pitch plus see the debut of a 30 second TimeBank clip on the big screen.  We’re hoping to hit it out of the park!  Please contact Amy to sign up to volunteer and help with the raffle (and get a free ticket & hat as a thank you) – amy@danecountytimebank.org or 608-663-0400.

By purchasing tickets, you will help the TB meet our pledge to sell tickets and participate in the raffle to raise money – thank you!  There are three options for how to purchase tickets:

  1. Go to the box office, Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm.  No extra fees for purchasing this way.  Remember to ask to sit in the Dane County TimeBank block! 
  1. Or call the Mallards Ticket office at:  608-246-4277 and then pick up the ticket at Will-Call the day of the game.  $1.50 fee added per ticket for phone orders.  Again, when choosing a seat, ask for the Dane County TimeBank block! 
  1. Or go online to Mallards.com (https://northwoodsleague.com/madison-mallards/).  $2.00 per ticket fee for purchasing online.  And follow these Special Instructions for finding seats in the TimeBank block:
