Restorative Justice Hotline Orientation
If you are committed to anti-racist responses to crisis and are committed to collective action, this training is for you!
Dane County Time Bank's Restorative Justice Hotline provides guidance and resource connections for those experiencing conflict with friends, family, neighbors, and law enforcement. The hotline operates on a community-based set of values that utilizes 360-degree accountability, mutual concern, dignity and respect. The hotline provides empathetic guidance and equity focused resource connections. The hotline operates Monday through Sunday, 4pm-8pm.
During this orientation we will go over:
- The basics of answering a call
- Information you can share with callers
- Follow up Restorative Justice resources
- How to fill out a call-tracking sheet
After attending an orientation, there will be future opportunities for volunteers to practice having restorative conversations. Ideally, volunteers who feel comfortable at the end of these trainings will be able to sign up to be on call for two hour shifts.
Please RSVP on this event page. You will then receive a link to your email account for information on how to join the Zoom meeting for Restorative Justice Hotline Oreintation on Wednesday, April 15th from 5 to 7 pm.
