R Justice League Ambassador Training Program

For years students have been treated unfairly, kicked out of classrooms, targeted, silenced, and unable to speak up for themselves. It is time for change. Our goal is to build a team of youth Ambassadors who would learn the oration, mediation, and restorative justice skills in order to facilitate circles, peer to peer education, create safe spaces for healing and relationship building between students and staff.

This is a pilot project beginning at Lafollette High School designed to ensure Black students have the resources, skills, and support needed to engage in restorative justice, negotiation, and public speaking. Students will work with adult mentors and spend their time doing peer to peer education with their fellow students.

The training starts on April 7th and will end on May 3rd. Training sessions are Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 5:30pm via Zoom.
