Northside Kitchen Cabinet Members
Northside Kitchen Cabinet members were elected at the Timebank Dessert Potluck, Thur. April 17. We're excited to have new faces in addition to our seasoned leaders!
Terrie Anderson
I have lived on the northside for 25 years. I raised two sons here, who attended Gompers, Black Hawk and East. I was asked by members of the Northside Planning Council to join the original Kitchen Cabinet in the summer of 2005, when the Timebank was in the planning stages. I have been Chair of the Kitchen Cabinet since May of 2006. As we look ahead to a time that we are a local neighborhood kitchen cabinet, now that additional ones are forming in other parts of the city and county, I hope to encourage more interactions between members and to reach northside groups that are underrepresented in the Northside Timebank. My other civic involvements are as a delegate on the Northside Planning Council, board member of Friends of Troy Gardens, and writer for the Northside News.
Chris Bodoh
I have been a resident of Madison's northside for more than 20 years. I joined the Dane County Timebank when it was formed and have been a Northside Kitchen Cabinet member for 2 years. As a kitchen cabinet member, I have enjoyed helping to foster the growth of the timebank on the northside and throughout the county. By remaining on the kitchen cabinet, I hope to be able to continue to help the Dane County Timebank and our Northside Timebank grow to offer the exchange of more and more services between an ever-expanding number of members.
Mandy Bodoh
I am a senior in high school and have been a northside resident for 18 years. I have officially been on the Kitchen Cabinet for one year. I joined the timebank when it first began two and a half years ago. I believe that being on the Kitchen Cabinet has helped me with my leadership skills and I enjoy being able to help plan timebank events.
Diane Brown
I have lived by Warner Park for 23 years, intentionally choosing the Northside over other Madison neighborhoods when we bought our home in 1985. My son was raised through Mendota Elementary, Sherman Middle, and East High, where I made it a priority at all three schools to help improve the quality of programs and communication with parents. I've enjoyed serving on Dane County TimeBank's Northside Kitchen Cabinet the past two years, and was elected to the DCTB Board of Directors this winter. I look forward to continuing to serve as a liaison between the two, as well as helping with the International TB Conference again when it comes back to Madison in 2009. I am also the current President of Sherman Neighborhood Association. Always active in the community and my church, my life philosophy echoes that of Sir Winston Churchill, "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give."
Scott Zuberbier
I have lived in Madison almost all my life, I have a degree in economics
from the UW and have been very active in the community in effort to improve
things rather than merely wishing they could be better. I serve on numerous
boards around town including the Circle of Friends at Warner Park and have
been a very active volunteer at WPT for 15 years.
Aram Donabedian, Vera Ct. Neighborhood Center I'm a full time employee of the Vera Court Neighborhood Center and I primarily coordinate the RISE program which seeks to empower middle schoolers through academics. I am also a licensed social studies teacher and helped pioneer the Afro-Centric Pedagogy Project at Madison West High School. I have a sincere interest in serving the Northside's more vulnerable populations and creating positive relationships between youth and adults.
